3Sizing basisAuto-calculatedTwo things the fixtures cannot tell us: the grade the drain runs at, and how tall the stack is.Add a fixture to size
IPC Table 710.1(1) grades capacity by slope. A 4-inch drain carries 180 fixture units at an eighth of an inch per foot and 250 at a half inch, so the grade materially changes the answer.
A branch interval is roughly one storey. Table 710.1(2) rates a stack differently depending on how many it serves, and that is a property of the building rather than of the fixtures on this sheet.
IPC Table E103.3(3) estimates peak demand differently depending on whether the building is predominantly flush tanks or flushometer valves. A flushometer system draws far more at the same fixture unit count, and the code gives no figure for one below 5 supply fixture units.
