How do I calculate a electrical bid?

Add your direct costs — loaded labor (hours × burdened rate) + materials (include 5–15% waste) + equipment + permits + subs + travel. Add overhead recovery (commonly 25–35% of direct cost). Then divide the total by (1 − commission% − target net margin%). The result is the lowest bid that still hits your profit target.
